Organizational Culture Of Saginaw Public School - 1007 Words

From going over the problems and possible solutions while considering the participants and the organizational culture of Saginaw Public School District the next step is to come up with a decision. In January of 2013 when the State of Michigan Department of Education wrote a letter to Saginaw Public Schools saying that they had to come up with a definite plan to decrease the deficit the district decided to close one of the middle schools and have both high schools with 8th through 12 grade. The decision was made by Saginaw Public Schools School board members after listening for months about all the solutions that were presented to them. The board members had to hear voices from the community members, parents, and students. The superintendents also were at the meetings and community forums to hear from the community and came up with the plan to add one grade to the high school and close one middle school. Along with closing one middle school two elementary schools will be closed a nd the staff development building to cut expenses. Along with closing the buildings there was also 36 teachers, 6 administrators, 2 counselors, 8 secretaries, and other support staff to save the district an estimated 3.6 million. The board approved of this decision 4-3 and the state of Michigan approved of this budget cut. The next school year Saginaw Public Schools transition into this new plan but they ran into many problems. The first problem which is listed above in table one involved the

Trying Juveniles As Adults And Providing Rehabilitation During Incarceration Today’s heated debate regarding the decision to try juveniles as adults has prompted individuals to construct opinionated and informational articles on the topic. The nation’s troubled youth are protected by groups that believe these offenders deserve rehabilitation and a chance to develop into a productive member of society. However, others believe that those committing certain heinous crimes should be tried as adults as a means to protect public safety, prevent second offenders, and â€Å"dispense justice in the form of punishment† (Aliprandini Michael, 2016). Because these perspectives offer a reasonable and valid argument, juveniles responsible for major crimes†¦show more content†¦While some individuals feel that exposure to an adult sanction will have a negative effect on the health of juveniles, the major crimes committed by these minors are the same as those committed by their surrounding adult inmates. The threat of adult incarceration will als o repel juveniles from committing serious crimes. According to Professor Morgan Reynolds from Texas AM University, â€Å"Between 1980 and 1993 juvenile crime rose alarmingly, and as the states toughened their approach during the 1990s, it declined just as steeply† (2005). In addition, incarceration lowers the chances of reoffending (Schneider cited by Reynolds, 2005). Enforcing laws that discourage juveniles from executing major crimes are effective in reducing crime rates and implementing public safety. Also, those that have already committed severe crimes are less likely to reoffend after exposure to adult sanction. Like Christopher Simmons, juveniles are aware of the crimes they are committing, and may even be proud of their actions. Regardless of the motive, teens committing major offenses should be placed in adult sanctions because their actions are no different than adult offenders. Comparing Death And It Was Not Death, For I Stood Up

Write a critical commentary comparing and contrasting the two poems ‘Death’ and ‘It was not Death, for I stood up’ Indeed. in their respective poems it is evident that the poets George Herbert and Emily Dickinson are writing in two different centuries. Both differ in terms of style, language and the different way in which they approach the concept of death. However, despite their differences, both ‘Death’ and ‘It was not Death, for I stood up’ signify the fundamental features of death in the poems which reiterates death as biological despite some poems viewing death as an abstract being . In ‘Death’, Herbert explores an abstract interpretation of death and compares it to the literal features of death. Homicide In America Essay Feeling alienated by fellow classmates, two students at Columbine High School in Littleton, CO who referred to themselves as the Trench Coat Mafia went on a rampant killing spree which took the lives of themselves, twelve other students and one teacher (Obmascik 1). This incident caused an immediate plea for more socially responsible communities, assuming that greater moral values would curb the likelihood of these argument-related homicides. This relies on the notion that greater social organization will lead to a decrease in the rate of crime. Dov Cohen, in her article â€Å"Culture, Social Organization, and Patterns of Violence† shows that in the West (which includes Colorado) and South, where a culture of honor persists, there is a higher rate of argument-related homicide that in other areas of the country (the North). More specifically, in the South and West, more organized societies have a higher rate of argument-related homicides than less stable ones. Argument-related homicides are far more prevalent in the South and West than they are in the North (Cohen 412). This is not merely supported by the number of argument-related homicides in the given regions, but also by the beliefs within the cultures. Southerners and Westerners support honor-related violence more than Northerners and also react more aggressively when insulted (Cohen 408). In addition, laws in the South and West are more likely to support those who use violence consistent with honor (Cohen 409). For these reasons, it is hardly surprising that argument-related homicide is more common in these regional locations. The more stable communities within these regions are more likely to be on the extreme sides. The morals ingrained in the more stable Northern communities do not find this behavior acceptable and argument-based homicide is therefore more common in less stable communities. The opposite is true in the South and West. The stronger communities condone these actions and they become more common than in those places that are morally more blas?.. Nevertheless, the most striking difference is the regional difference between the communities of the South and West and the communities of the North. The correlation between the homicides in more stable and less stable communities for the given regions is striking. In the North, the homicide rate per 100,000 for white males ages 15-39 is 4. 7 in a stable community and 6. 7 in an unstable community (Cohen 412). In the South and West, however, the numbers are much higher. The homicide rate per 100,000 is 22. 8 in a stable community and 18. in an unstable community (Cohen 412). While social organization is clearly a factor, the more marked distinction is based on region rather than social organization. In the West and South, greater stability within a community would not have the effect of reducing argument-related homicides because increasing community stability seems to condone these actions, not only by sentiments, but by laws which make this type of crime more acceptable. For this reason it is not the communities who should be blamed, and the ability to point fingers at a lack of morals may be diminishing. By Cohen? s theory, the Columbine killings were not due to lax communal structure, but they were more a function of the region that it occurred, a region that represents a culture of honor. It may be that the Columbine killings were argument-based homicides, which were provoked rather than random, but the mere fact they exist at all is distressing. It is upsetting to think that certain cultures condone the beliefs that can lead to such atrocities. Homicide is simply unacceptable, no matter where one is from.

I do not think that the presence of too complicated features on the application can help in good conversions for the website. The fourth principle is the presence of long terms codes in the website. In certain cases when I design some blog contents, I try to make the contents last by providing and researching the contents so that they do not change too often (Aghae, Nematbakhsh and Farsani 2012). I also use certain designs that are very appealing, which reduces my need of constant updating and meeting the requirements of the people. The fifth principle of web design is the removal of repetitive processes or contents. I think that the website needs to improve the repetition processes like the need for user signup on every frequent page. The repetition can be avoided by checking the coding part of the website. This leads to less repetition of the files present and thus helps to attract the users. The sixth principle of the web development is the responsibility that is arrived by the integration of our codes in the websites. The codes, which are integrated, must meet the requirements of the people that are visiting. These include the presence of good quality, better information and scalable requirements so that the users who are coming in to our website does find the thing that they are looking for. The last principle is the knowledge of the niche. Niche refers to the area where the website is intended. It can range from the fields like internet marketing and health to home dcor and construction. I personally think that the knowledge of the niche products in the website is important so that I am not visiting any other website to waste any of my time. Thus, I conclude by stating the various definitions of the principles for the web development. This is required to make the website more appealing. Web project proposal: This section includes the topic of tattoo. The tattoo is a process of applying modification in terms of modification to the body, which gives it a form of art made by ink. The tattoo can be temporary or permanent. The temporary one comes off form the body after a few days while the permanent one sticks to the body forever. The meaning of the tattoo can range from decorative which means the pure art, meaningful, which shows that it has a meaning, pictorial that shows the resemblance to a certain character. The website topic is the discussion of tattoo. The need for a custom tattoo is the content of the website management. The website is intended to make awareness among the public that will help the people realize the essence of applying tattoo to reference an art or resemblance a person. The objective of the website is to make the people aware of the presence of artistic designs and the essence of such designs. As the tattoo will help the persons applying it to give honor to the person for making a resemblance, the implementation of the tattoo will be made aware in front of the common people. In addition, the main objective of the website is to get more people to the business and application of the tattoo to increase the sales. This is the major requirement in any business (Montgomery 2014). The website will also help the business to connect to the people and interact with them to increase their engagement on the website. The website is also used to develop the brand image of the business involved. In this case, the tattoo shop will be made to stand out in the public and the need for such addressing will be provided by the implementation of the website. Required skills: This section discusses about the skills required to complete a website. The website can be made by the beginners, intermediate and experts that will successfully setup the website. The designers of the website need to design the contents of the website (Krtzig and Warren-Kretzschmar 2014). For a beginner level, Photoshop is only required but for intermediate level, the presence of Photoshop, HTML and CSS is used. For the expert level, the presence of illustrator is necessary with the intermediate level. The front-end developer also needs Photoshop, HTML and CSS in the beginner level, Javascript and jQuery along with the beginner level software. The expert level requires PHP along with the other intermediate level software. The backend developer needs the presence of PHP to apply the process. The presence of skills is needed to make the website so that the website can be made without any problems. The present skills depend upon the level of work that can be provided. According to the present of the software, the level of work can be differentiated. It can range from beginner, immediate and expert level.
